Closed speaker

The airtight speaker, proposed by Frederick in 1923, has a relatively simple structure. The speaker unit is installed in a fully sealed box. It can completely isolate the forward radiated sound waves of the speaker from the backward radiated sound waves, but due to the existence of the airtight box, the rigidity of the speaker's motion mass to produce resonance is increased, so that the minimum resonance frequency of the speaker rises.

The sound color of the closed speaker is a bit deep, but the bass analysis is good. When using ordinary hard folding ring speakers, in order to obtain satisfactory bass playback, a large box with a large volume needs to be used. The new type of closed speaker uses the elastic effect of the compressed air quality enclosed in the box. Although the speaker is installed in a smaller box, the air cushion behind the cone basin will exert a reverse driving force on the cone basin, so this kind of small closed speaker is also called an air cushion speaker.

Bass reflective speaker

Reflective speaker (Bass-Reflex Enclosure), also known as Acoustic Phase Inverter, was invented by Thuras in 1930. In its load, there is a sound outlet opening on a panel of the box. There are many opening positions and shapes, but most of them are also equipped with sound conduits in the hole.

Mainly, most current computer speakers will have an independent subwoofer, which is limited by volume. In order to use small-size speakers to better perform bass, more transmitter speakers are used. Since the speaker is used independently to express bass, people have a weak sense of direction of the bass, and there is no limit to the placement and orientation, but the subwoofer generally vibrates more, so it is appropriate to place it in a more stable place.
